This one-day course in the art of influence and persuasion will help you win without others having to lose, and lead so others follow – because they want to, not because they have to.

How do you move someone from A to B, when they’d gladly stay right where they are? As creative leaders, we understand the importance of getting others to buy in to our vision, implement our ideas and fight our corner. But often we lack the techniques to do so.

Whether you’re trying to persuade a potential customer to buy your product, your teenage son to take the dog for a walk or the next door neighbour to turn their music down, you’re more likely to succeed if you do what you want for their reasons – not yours.

In this highly experiential workshop, you’ll learn a range of techniques to develop your ability to influence others. You’ll discover the Influencer’s Eight-Card Trick – psychologically proven influencing techniques – and you’ll build an insight into how, and when, to use them.

You’ll learn the importance of moving away from old habits of influence, and explore how to enter the mindset of the person you’re trying to influence, so you can tap into and meet their emotional needs.

Influencing isn’t simply a business skill. It’s about relationships. You’ll learn how to build empathy and rapport, and you’ll hone your listening and questioning skills. And you’ll work on creating powerful first – and lasting – impressions, in particular through mastering the Three ‘V’s of communication.

You’ll also work on ‘brand me’: who you are and what you stand for. After all, this is what other people buy into when deciding to follow you, so it’s vital you’re clear on what it is.

You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of the importance of relationship awareness in influencing others – that it’s as much about the heart as it is the head.

And you’ll become influential, successful ambassadors for your organisation.
